Running a company is hard, and running a successful company that’s able to consistently make profits is even harder and not for the faint of heart. From managing your staff, innovating your products, and dealing with clients, it’s no surprise that not a lot of companies are able to go through their 3rd year. However, building that kind of relationship can be a bit tricky, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to do it; from getting to know your client to giving out special corporate gifts to them on special occasions, such as Chinese New Year or their birthday, we’ll be showing you how you can get close to your clients!

Why Relationship With Your Clients Is Important

As a company, it’s very important for you to create a good relationship with your client considering companies will always go through a client-facing position, in addition to them being the company’s main source of income. Good client relationships tend to feel like the company is a true partner of the client. As a result, the relationship between them builds and expands into bigger, better things, either through longevity, additional projects or business, or being referred to other clients. These kinds of relationships go beyond just delivering what your contract with them says, although that’s also important to consider.

How To Get Close To Clients

There are a few ways to build a close relationship with your clients; knowing your client (their background, work ethic, and so on) is not only a necessity when working together with them, it’s also an effective way to show them you’re professional and can be trusted in your line of work. If you do your research beforehand, you can go into conversations with confidence, enthusiasm, and know exactly what needs to be said to gain their favor.

Another way to get close to your clients is to check in frequently. Set regular check-ins with your clients when working with them in a project and stay organized through making agendas that make sense for said check-ins. You can even arrange a schedule to eat lunch together in order to further get to know your client and check in on them.

Now, these methods work only when everyone’s at work, but on holidays or even special days that your client themselves set, you can send out some special corporate gifts for them to let them know they’re always being looked after by you. For example, this Chinese New Year, it would be a great idea to send some Chinese New Year themed corporate gifts, such as fruits or tea, to your client. Or, whenever they’re celebrating their birthday, send out some corporate gifts that match their line of work. Gifts are often seen as an expression of appreciation towards another person and often function as a way to build a close relationship with others, so it’s no surprise that we’re recommending you to give out special corporate gifts for your clients.

These are our methods to get close and build a relationship with your clients. If you ever need some help picking out some custom special corporate gifts for your clients this Chinese New Year, feel free to reach out to us for help!
